After so many troubles and all the excitement of arranging and living through the wedding and the bridal reception my new husband and I were really looking forward to our honeymoon. Before the wedding we talked a lot about how we would spend it, discussing our wishes and all the various possibilities. And having our own mental picture of a honeymoon paradise we went to a travel agency that specialized in arranging and booking honeymoons. More and more Russian brides now expect to travel some place nice for their honeymoon seeking unknown feelings in an exotic setting.
I am so glad that travel services in Russia have improved so dramatically and are offering so many options for newlywed Russian brides happy day.The agent offered us individual tours to many of the attractive honeymoon destinations of the world: Europe, Mauritius, the South Pacific, Seychelles, Bali, etc. She even suggested that we marry again abroad, using the ceremonial customs of our destination site. This would create memories for our whole life! I can only imagine what kind of fantastic impressions such a foreign second wedding might bring to a Russian bride such as myself. The most intriguing suggestion offered was a wedding on the beach.
My spouse and I considered all suggestions but we finally selected five of the most popular routes designed just for married couples. All five routes sounded very attractive to us. Among them were the Seychelles, Mexico City, Paris, Thailand and Turkey. All of these destinations seemed like a good idea to me - because in the first days of my marriage any location would be a wonderful garden paradise.
However in the end I cast my first vote for the Seychelles. I chose the Seychelles because I am attracted to extraordinary nature and the Seychelles is considered to be a paradise on earth with primodial forests and archipelago, and endless sandy beaches. Crystal green waters of the ocean and clean sand with a pink tint, unique flora and fauna, temporate climate and the beauty of the underwater world attract thousands of tourists and many Russian brides every year. A couple can find a comfortable, quiet place to stay right on the beach. They can also go sailing on a boat decorated in tropical flowers and palm leaves, and nothing will disturb their honeymoon. This location required few additions to my wardrobe, except choosing from the many new Russian women swimsuit fashions.
My second vote was for Mexico City. Mexico is a country of ancient civilizations, miraculous nature, marvelous beaches and snowy volcanoes, rich history and the archeological monuments of the Aztecs and Mayan eras. Mexico also features colonial palaces, boyant music, spicy food and friendly people. Thousands of miles of a sea shore washed by the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean Sea and the Mexican Gulf certainly entrall most tourists.
No, I did not forget Paris, the city of lovers from around the world, and the most desired honeymoon destination for Russian brides. It is an ideal destination for couples who want to spend their romantic vacation in the arms of a big city, with its busy pace, night life and crowded streets. Newlyweds can disappear in the crowd on the Champs Elysees or go boating along the Seine watching the night lights slowly glide by.
My fourth vote was given to Thailand. Thailand is situated in the centre of South-east Asia. This country is noticed for its ancient edifices and tropical jungles but also features the comforts of modern civilization and the style of western European culture. When you travel to Thailand you will meet a magic kingdom of evergreen forests and warm oceans. You can plunge into a dream and literally forget about everything in the world - except your beloved spouse.
Turkey is the fifth destination of my five choices. It is an ideal place for a quiet and calm rest. Also, it is quite economical and not too distant for Russian travelers. Most Russian brides and their newly betrothed travel to Turkey for their honeymoons. The just married are always greeted by a glass of champagne at the entrance of their hotel. The friendly smiles of the hotel staff and amicable local citizens welcome them. A wonderful climate, a clean and warm sea and marvelous landscapes add to the joy of a time spent together. The rather cheap hotel prices and flight finally persuaded us to both choose Turkey. Ten unforgettable days flew by really very quickly. We would have liked for these days to last forever! But in the end it was nice to come back home and tell friends and family about the great and fabulous time we spent there.
