The birth rate has increased in Primorye: in the 11 months of this year 20 882 babies were born in the region. It is 1 208 babies more than in the previous year: in the year 2006 19 674 little Primorye residents were born within the same period.
The press service of the administration of Primorsky Territory informed PrimaMedia that the increase of the birth rate is caused, in the first place, by the effective realization of the priority national project "Health" and all the measures that are included in the governmental demographic policy.
Special attention is paid to the medical help of high quality to the future mothers and newborns, and also to the support of reproductive health of young Russians.
Within the "Health" national project more than 170 million Rubles from the federal budget were sent for supporting the obstetrical service of Primorye. The birth certificates - more than 24 000 forms - were received for improving the material and technical base of maternity hospitals, maternity clinics, pediatric polyclinics.
More than 4 000 Primorye women applied to the Pension Fund of Russia departments to receive the maternity capital. 3,3 thousands have already received the state certificates that confirm their right for getting 250 thousand rubles. A family can spend this money on improving the housing conditions or paying for the education of one of the children, or use it as the savings for the labor pension. The size of the maternity capital will be indexed annually according to the inflation rates in the country.
According to the resolution of the Government of Russia, the maternity capital is supposed to be received by the families with two or more children. This essential social support is aimed to the birth rates stimulation, the increase of maternity status and family prestige.
