That's according to the results of a poll released on Sunday.
The Internet survey questioned over 1,319 women between the ages of 20 and
49.

Two thirds of the respondents called themselves "himono onna," a
term used in the Japanese movie, Glow of Fireflies. The film's main
character is a 20-year-old woman who has no interest in dating or going out
on weekends.

The three most cited reasons for why women have turned their
backs on romance are: "they fear pain or troubles in romance," "they like to
stay home," and "they love freedom and a carefree life."
