According to the charges, Nessimov extorted NIS 240,000 and a car from one woman, and NIS 104,000 from another.
In some of the cases, the accused introduced himself to the women as a lawyer by the name of Or Bar or Gilad.
In one case, he made contact through the Internet last February with a woman identified as D.B., a single mother from Hod Hasharon. He told her that in return for NIS 10,000, his "boss" could obtain a grant of NIS 100,000 for her from the National Insurance Institute. She gave him NIS 13,500.
As time went by, the woman began to suspect Nessimov and refused to hand over any more money.
He allegedly warned her that if she did not, he would hurt her and her children.
"You already gave your word to the underworld," he was quoted as telling her. "You can't go back on it now. Otherwise, they will kill you and your children."
On another occasion, he came to her house with another man and ordered her to accompany him into another room. He then held a knife to her throat and told her to make sounds as if she were making love. When she refused, he hit her.
Another time, Nessimov called the woman's home at 4 a.m. When her 13-year-old daughter answered, he asked her what she was wearing and said he wanted to see her nude.
Altogether, Nessimov managed to extort NIS 50,000 from D.B. and her father.
In May, Nessimov made contact with A.P., another Hod Hasharon single mother. At first, he told her he could find clients for her business. Later, he said he could help her buy an apartment for a cheap price.
When she began expressing doubts about this, he threatened her and said he belonged to the "Caucasus mafia" and could hurt her and her children. He managed to get NIS 60,000 from her.
