The fake profile of Barnes councillor Ben Stanberry describes his political views as 'very liberal', his appearance as 'young, handsome and gay', and goes on to describe explicit details of what he is allegedly looking for in a partner.
Councillor Stanberry, who appeared in the last series of TV show The Apprentice, vowed to get the obscene postings removed straight away.
He blamed the hoax on a student he expelled in his previous job as a law lecturer.
He said: "It would not be the first time somebody has done this to me and I will certainly now get it taken down.
"There's pictures of me all over the place which is probably how they got hold of one.
"I can only imagine the number of sites about me when The Apprentice was out. This is just someone being stupid."
He added: "It is probably from my time as a lecturer.
"The age I am on the site would come under my period at Cardiff University.
"While I was there I was involved in expelling a student who had not been working well and I had to take a decision on his future.
"Within a few weeks of that, a barrage of hate mail started and it could be as a result of that."
He said he would contact the website owners and ask them to remove the posting.
"It's stupid, it's a nuisance, it means I have got to spend time tracking down the owners of the website.
"This sort of thing happens to lots of people, it's identity theft and it's a huge issue.
"It's identity theft to somehow try and harm or hurt your reputation."
He denied Barnes constituents could stumble across the shocking website, adding: "It would have to be a pretty committed constituent who would look up everything about me on a search engine.
"And I can't search for myself all the time to see if something new has appeared. That would be vain and silly.
"This kind of thing would never have been done in a million years by me."
