Wesurveyed 4,075 singles and found that 49% plan on joining a dating service to change their single status in 2007, versus only 25% in 2006. With 28% of singles surveyed saying they keep their resolution every year, the New Year looks to be promising for those dedicated to finding Mister or Misses Right.

• 34% of singles said they wait until just days before New Year's Eve to find a date
• Only 18% of singles have a date lined up a by December 1st
• 14% of singles would accept a date as late as one hour before New Year's Eve
• 40% of singles agreed that New Year's Eve is a great time for a first kiss
• Only 27% admit to having had a first kiss at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve
• 46% of singles prefer to ring in the New Year out on the town in New York, San Francisco or Las Vegas
• 29% would rather celebrate at a house party with friends and family
