Now, of course, not all of these Internet daters are going to be local. But with that many choices, there’s sure to be someone acceptable in your neck of the woods.
eHarmony: Another huge site with more than 12 million members, eHarmony is growing at a phenomenal rate. Not only that, but a study about a year ago showed that eHarmony marriages were happier than those from the general population. eHarmony is definitely one of the more popular Internet dating sites, and for good reason.
PerfectMatch: Here’s where things get dicey – PerfectMatch only has around three million members. But those three million are among the more successful in the online dating world. As far as Internet dating sites go, PerfectMatch would be considered an up and comer – it’s definitely not past its prime like some Internet dating sites, and getting in on the fun now will let you ride the popularity spike that’s sure to come.
Yahoo Personals: How could Yahoo Personals not be one of the largest Internet dating sites out there? After all, it’s backed by search behemoth Yahoo. Yahoo Personals is probably second or third in popularity, depending on who you ask and which numbers you believe. It also offers one of the better services out there, though last we checked we couldn’t find a “match guarantee” like you’ll find on PerfectMatch or Match.com.
