Your first date...
First date was when I was in standard eight or nine. It was a dinner and a dance party.
Your idea of a perfect date...
I did that recently. It was with my wife Natasha on her birthday. We hired a dhow and had some gaddas thrown in and we had a view of the Gateway of India. It was a magical moment in the middle of the Arabian Sea.
What was your first relationship like?
It was fun and it was a new experience. It happened without even me realising that I was in love. When you're officially dating someone and she's your steady girlfriend it's a big deal. That whole process is fascinating and has so much novelty and innocence that you can almost call it a discovery of one's self. As individuals, you are both tested and somebody challenges your thoughts and also you don't realise you're being shaped into the person you are today.
What do you think of lust versus love?
I don't really like the word lust. I like the word attraction. Finding someone attractive is just a natural, hormonal instinctive reaction which I think is great. Love is the most important thing in the world to me. There is no comparison between the two. Lust is momentary and is as good as buying a new watch and being fascinated by it for a few days and love is solid and something to cherish.
Romance to you is
Going out of your way to let someone know you care for them.
Do you believe in the institution of marriage?
Funny I didn't want to get married! I secretly nursed an idea of it. As long as two people can keep up their compatibility, understanding and respect for each other, marriage can be very beautiful. My marriage is great and we are both having a lot of fun.
What do you think of infidelity?
If you're committed to someone, you should keep your pants zipped up! (laughs uproariously)
