A Waltham man hopes he has discovered the secret to finding true love.
Dave Greenberg, a florist and flower shop owner for the past 21 years, has grown tired of scanning the Internet for love. So, he has created a flier offering $1,000 to anyone, who can help him meet the woman he will eventually marry.
"I'm desperate!" Greenberg said.
"Wanted: Wife for this Man!" flashes the fliers, which have been scattered all around the Waltham area. The lucky bride-to-be could be any age, but must be one who "looks young, thinks young, dresses young and plays young."
"Sexual, playful, not religious, low maintence..I'll eat anything she makes... I don't cook," Greenberg said. "I can't fix a thing, but I'll help with the dishes. I love kids, I love animals... even cats."
She cannot be a ladder climber or over-exhausted work fanatic, according to Greenberg. Other necessary characteristics include a sense of humor, "not to be prudish" and be willing to vacation by car or train, because Greenberg does not fly.
"This time I'm looking for the right woman... they say the third time is the charm," Greenberg said. "I am looking for a woman practically of any age as long as she's young. She thinks young. She plays young. She dresses young. She's frisky. You gotta have fun....after honesty, fidelity and all of the good stuff, you need to have fun."
As for himself, Greenberg enjoys playing tennis and skiing and would like to move to San Diego sometime soon.
In the past, Greenberg has always had his hands in the world of prearranged dating. During the 1980s, he would hold single parties in area hotels, nearly 1,500 between 1979 and 1992, he said.
Greenberg has been married, but he is now divorced.
"When you meet your best friend and true love...never ever let her go." Greenberg said.
He said Internet personals turned into few results, but that might be due to his two central conditions: must be willing to give up flying and must be willing to move to San Diego.
