Singles speaker to talk about dating, divorce

Amy Barnes will lead sessions for singles on dating and divorce at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th St.

• The Seeds of Divorce are in the First Three Dates will be 8 p.m. today. The interactive workshop will focus on avoiding common mistakes. For information, call Terri Coe at (317) 846-3404 or Barnes at (317) 257-7544.

• An eight-week cooperative parenting seminar will help parents develop strategies to reduce child-rearing conflicts with their former spouse. The seminar will be 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 17-Dec. 12.

Participants will learn how to shield children from parental conflict, manage anger, negotiate peacefully with the other parent and establish a positive, long-term relationship as co-parents.

Cost: $100 and includes a workbook.
