Trying to meet that special someone isn't easy but maybe you've been going about it all wrong.
There's a new way to meet Mister or Miss right and as CBS 3's Ukee Washington reports, you don't have to do much at all.
Chad Tons was looking for the love of his life, he turned to the one who loves him most; his mom, Iris.
"Who's to know you better than your mother," said Chad.
It didn't take long to find the perfect match.
"I thought she was sweet and she was funny and she was beautiful. So, I said, 'this is a match made in heaven,'" said Iris.
"She really scored this time around, I owe her big," said Chad.
Relationship expert Ian Kerner says more and more young singles, who lead hectic lives, are asking their parents to play cupid.
"Parents are often able to see beyond chemistry, attraction, and to really understand what works in terms of long-term compatibility," said Kerner.
Old-fashioned family fix-ups are even getting a modern twist with a new online dating service, which matchmakingmoms.com.
"Family and friends, not the dater, actually create the profiles and search for matches on behalf of their single loved one," said Dawn Miller of the website.
Bridget Raymond is giving the site a try. She likes that she doesn't have to sort through all the profiles or do her own PR.
"I don't have to write about myself or try to brag about myself or try to play myself up," said Bridget.
Bridget's aunt is playing matchmaker.
"Maybe with a little assistance, she can get along a little better," said Bridget's aunt, Jane Wheldon.
"Either way, it's a win win situation for me. If it works out well, it's great. If it doesn't, it's her fault," said Bridget.
