How to send money to Russia?

If you plan a mutual travel or just want to send money to your fiancee, you face the problem: how to do it in the best way? There are 4 ways and it depends on the sum, purpose and regularity which way is the best. That’s the topic we are going to discuss today.

Is there any limit to the amount of money someone can to a person in Russia? I've been corresponding with this girl form Russia via Email for the last month, and she wants to come over and meet me. She says that her brother stays in London, but he can't send any money to her for flight across because he has reached his limit he can send. I've been asked for my bank details, address and phone number. I've told her I don't give my details to anyone over the internet, she says I don't trust her. I would be grateful if you could give me some advice on what to do.

I have never heard about any limits for sending money. Frankly speaking I would advise you neither send money nor any bank details to a lady you don’t know and you have never see.
Dougie, I would like to tell you one thing, it’s almost impossible for a single Russian girl to get a Visa to UK or USA. If she wants to meet you and you have the same wish, you need to come to Russia first. Never send money to a lady you have never seen. If you want to please her you can order some flowers through any International delivery Service, by the way in this case you will also find out if the lady is real or not.
You ask for an advice: Suggest her to come to her place first and then you will see her reaction on it.

I have corresponded with a lady in Russia for quite sometime now what it boils down to is this , she has acquired a visa and sent me a photocopy of which she paid for and is awaiting my sending $500 to an acct of her uncles of which I have recieved the acct # address and swift code. She is putting up some of her own money and says she could be here as early as next week , I had offered her to get the airline tickets and have her pick them up. I dont know how to proceed , I would likew to trust this situation but I had got scammed before for $550 and in resding some dialogue of a previously scammmed fellow I came across , verbatim a dialogue used by my "maybe " soon to be wife . What should I do ? I have a visa number and information I just want toknow how to proceed . Thank you Bill cook

Author's answer: It is quite difficult to say for sure that a lady you correspond with is a scammer or not according to information you gave to us. This question is very individual and depends of many factors. But in any case we do not recommend men to send money to women at least until meeting. Moreover you should know that it is practically impossible for an unmarried woman to get visa to the USA. Besides you had a sad experience of being scammed and you have learnt a lesson that it is risky to send money to a woman whom you have not met before and if you are not sure whether she is sincere or has interested motives. From your side you can book and pay air tickets for her when she gives you dates, but not send money.

I am trying to find out if a woman that I have been corresponding is real. I have seen her pictures posted on the internet saying that she is a scammer. She has told me that her pictures must have been stolen from a website for others to steal money. How do I know for sure that she is not a scam artist. I want to send money to her for a airplane ticket, but I want to be sure that the money is used for the airfare. Do you have any suggestions on how I can go about doing this? She has told me that she has to buy the airplane tickets through the agency that she got her visa from because she has signed a contract with them. Am I being scammed? Author's answer: Unfortunately, such cases really happen. Briefly speaking, some cheater can steel pictures of women from web-site of agency and then place them in his fake site and do money from it. When men understand that they correspond with girls who are unreal on this site, they place those women’s pictures into scammers’ list in internet. But it happens seldom, so you shouldn’t rely on it completely. Particularly now, when she asked you to send money for airplane ticket. We would suggest you to reserve the ticket for your lady by yourself in your country and then send her detailed data of her ticket: the date of departure, number of flight, number of reserving and so on. She will be able to get her ticket here just saying this data in airport then.
