Day of Laughter
Next week, on the 1st of April, people of Russia are celebrating the Day of Laughter. It is not a national holiday, not a day off, just one of the holidays like Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day and so on.
On this day people play tricks, joke, make fun of each other in a kind way and so on. Popular tricks are sticking a funny ad on someone’s back and saying to someone that his suit is dirty. This day nobody believes in other people’s words and stories, and if someone does believe in a trick, all people around laugh at him happily. This day is also called “Fool’s Day”. Because when people of one of the largest countries of the world start fooling around, it seems that the whole world has gone mad! But it is fun.
Would you like to play a joke on your beloved? Only don’t say to her that her back is white, she won’t believe you! ;-) Tell her that you have 5 kids or 3 wives. Or better that you are a king. Or a sheikh. O dear, what do I teach you? It is just a joke! :))
Testimonials: Don+Anna, Larry+Elena
This week we got two more testimonials that two stories have come to a happy end, which is actually a happy beginning. And it is not a joke! :)
HI Slava
Things are going good with Anna. Her visa paperwork was sent to Moscow on March 7. We are waiting to hear from them when her interview date will be. I think we will know in 1 or 2 weeks. She has collected almost all of the documents she will need for the interview. She has been learning to drive. It will be much easer for her when she arrives in Calif to begin driving as
soon as possible. We do not have such good public transportation in southern Calif as in Russia. Driving is a necessity here.
Don
My relationship with Elena has progressed to the point that she has received her K1 visa, and is now in the US with me. We are to be married in April. I will send you a letter of length at a later date.
Larry Todd
Don and Larry! We are so happy for you! Our congratulations! We are waiting for detailed letters from you about how it was. To the rest: guys, do you want to join them? Let their letters inspire you! And one more thing. Once I watched the interview with one famous football coach, whose team won incredible number of games. He was asked about the secret of success. He said that this secret is stated in the best way in the president Calvin Coolidge’s saying: “Nothing is the world can surpass persistence. Even talent: talented losers are pretty often. Even genius: an unrecognized genius is almost a proverb. Even education: the world is full of educated useless men. Only persistence and determination are powerful tools for reaching success”.
Be persistent!
