It's a treasure trove for Britain's community of lonely hearts; a list of the country's postcodes ranked by how many singletons they contain.
Those seeking Mr Right should take the next train to Reading, Berkshire. Here, the town's 63,600 single men outnumber their female counterparts by nearly 11,000.
Reading is closely followed by other south-eastern towns, including Rochester, Chelmsford and Hemel Hempstead. The Isle of Man also makes the top 10, with nearly 4,000 more single men than women.
Those looking for that ever elusive Miss Right need to venture much further north: Glasgow is officially the UK's capital for single women, with an estimated 130,600 single women but only 90,800 bachelors. Belfast and Edinburgh are close behind, with Liverpool and Sheffield completing the top five.
The data, part of The Singles Report to be published this week by the marketing intelligence firm EuroDirect, reveals that in terms of the overall number of singletons central Birmingham is the clear winner. Britain's second city is home to an estimated 282,000 citizens living alone.
Mike Nalder, EuroDirect's head of analysis, said a town's business focus could often tell you a great deal about its singles community: "Singles tend to flock to urban conurbations, and the type of accommodation and work there reflects that," he said. "The Reading area, for instance, has a lot of light industry and military bases nearby, which is a contributing factor to the large number of single men there."
The Singles Report found that there 9.9 million singles living in the UK, of which 52 per cent are female. However, this data also includes single parent families and those who have been widowed.
But singletons should not in any way be downhearted, according to Lorraine Adams, the founder of Gorgeous Networks, who is credited with bringing speed-dating to the UK. She says January is the busiest month for dating agencies.
"People are becoming a lot more daring and proactive now," she said. "They are less worried about leaving partners or being left on the shelf: there couldn't be a better time to be single."

"We have to take some of the blame, but the girls in Reading are hard to approach. Every weekend you're searching for somewhere else to go. Girls up North, or even in London, are much friendlier. There's nothing more the men of Reading can do."

"The atmosphere in Glasgow is upbeat and fun and there is no overt sign of people out on the pull. I think it is actually easier being single here compared to other places. It's such a friendly city you would never be standing on your own for long in a bar."
